Mrs. Juanita F. Henderson, age 84 of Opelika, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, in Phenix City, Alabama. Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. at Garden Hills Cemetery. Pastor Mark Jenkins will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home and Crematory from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
She is survived by her son, Barry A.(Mary)Henderson; sister, Deloris(Bob)McGhee, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Henderson was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Henderson and her brothers, Harlan and Dawson Fuller.
Mrs. Henderson was born April 27, 1928, in Tallapoosa County to the late George Ruben and Mae Peppers Fuller. She was raised in Alexander City, Alabama. She moved to the Auburn-Opelika area in 1948 and married her late husband, Joseph A. Henderson. Juanita was employed as a secretary at several businesses in the Opelika area over the years, and was retired from Ampex Corporation after twenty years service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Opelika. She and her husband enjoyed bowling, dancing, their time spent at Lake Martin boating and skiing. They also enjoyed attending Dixie Youth baseball games to cheer their grandchildren.
