Hueston Calvin Patterson

Funeral service for Hueston Calvin Patterson, 84, of Opelika is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Reverend David Waldrop is officiating. Burial will be held in Rosemere Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Mr. Patterson was born February 23, 1928 in Coosa County. He passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at his home in Opelika. He served in the US Army during WWII and retired as an electrician with IBEW Local 443 in March 1990. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working in his garden. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Doris Patterson. Survivors include son, Jerry Patterson of Opelika; daughters, Becky (Calvin) Lamberth of Opelika, Charlotte Patterson of Opelika; granddaughter, Laura Nicole Kelley of Opelika; grandson, Mark (Lisa) Patterson of Valley; great granddaughter, Macey Jane Patterson of Valley; sister, Gertrue Hughes of Sylacauga; a host of nieces and nephews; and a very special friend and caretaker, Joyce Carter of Dothan.
