John Elbert Kelly

Graveside service for John Elbert Kelly, 80, of Opelika is 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Carrville Cemetery. Reverend Paul Greger is officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5-7p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Mr. Kelly was born July 6, 1931 in East Tallassee. He passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Opelika. He had lived in Opelika since 1960. He was retired from Uniroyal, Inc. with 30 years service. Mr. Kelly was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was a medic for several years. He is survived by close friend, Peggy Taunton of Tallassee; caregivers, James and Linda Chance of Opelika; and several cousins. Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home & Crematory is directing.
