Benjamin Kyle Puckett, 18, of Opelika, Alabama went to be with the Lord September 16, 2013. Kyle was born December 14, 1994 in Albany, Georgia. He was a graduate of Opelika High School, Class of 2013. Kyle played OHS football and was a part of the team that played for the 2012 State Championship. He was known as a compassionate, caring young man. He had many friends and loved ones in the Auburn-Opelika area. Kyle loved his family, fishing, and football. Kyle represented Jesus Christ in his words and deeds. His thoughtfulness will be missed greatly. Kyle attended Southern Union State Community College and had planned to enroll at Auburn University in the Dental Program. He worked at East Alabama Medical Center. Kyle loved his family, friends, teammates, and classmates dearly. Kyle was loved by the community that helped to raise him. Kyle is survived by his parents Ben and Regina Puckett, brother Cody Puckett and sister Kayla Puckett all of Spanish Fort, AL. Grandfather John R Puckett of Auburn, AL. Grandfather B.C. Deppe of Phenix City, AL. Grandmother Linda Deppe of Panama City, FL. Uncle John R. Puckett Jr. and Family of Lake Martin, AL. Uncle Jeff Deppe and Family of Smiths Station, AL. Aunt Virginia Fussell and Family of Andalusia, AL along with many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in the Kingsport, TN area. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Opelika. Reverend Steve Scoggins is officiating. Burial will follow at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery in Auburn, Alabama. Visitation was Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
