Sue E. Waller

Sue E. Waller, 80, of Opelika passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Bethany House in Auburn. She was born October 17, 1931 in Nashville, TN. Mrs. Waller had been a resident of the Lee County area for the past 50 years. She was retired from G&W Electric Company where she served as secretary for many years. Miss Sue was an active member of the 10th Street Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and had a large circle of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis R. Waller in 2010. Survivors include two daughters, Sherrie (John Wayne) Segrest of Tuskegee, Pamela Diane (Gerald) Merritt of Nolensville, TN; two sons, Willis Lee (Vickie) Waller of Opelika, Daniel Lloyd (Debbie) Waller of Opelika; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Graveside service for Mrs. Waller will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Garden Hills Cemetery with Pastor Claude Flynn officiating. Visitation is Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home prior to the service. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
