Pamela Thomas Maynard died at home in Auburn, Alabama on April 29th. Born April 10, 1957 in New Orleans to Robert Morgan Thomas, M.D. and Virginia Bonnville Thomas. Educated in the Columbia, MO public school system, Pam was a graduate of Rock Bridge High School in Columbia. She attended Stephens College and the University of Michigan as an art major. Pam was a licensed pilot and a retired Trans World Airlines flight attendant. She married Charles H. Maynard, Sr. on February 26, 1989 in New Orleans. Pam is survived by her husband, two daughters, Margaret Katherine Maynard and Virginia Morgan Maynard of Auburn, AL ; a son, Charles H. Maynard, Jr. (Kristen) of Charleston, SC; parents, Dr. and Mrs. Robert M. Thomas of Columbia, MO; two sisters, Susan Thomas Dibden (Fraser) of Dubai, UAE, Celia Thomas of Overland Park, KS; a brother, Robert M. Thomas Jr. (Kerry) of Leawood, KS and a granddaughter, Peyton Lanier Maynard of Charleston, SC. Pam was a loving mother and wife, a gifted artist, world traveler, and a culinary master. She had a heart of gold, always ready to help those in need and will be missed by her family. Memorials can be made to the Food Bank of East Alabama, 375 Industry Dr., Auburn, AL 36832. Services will be Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Auburn. Family graveside services are at 4:30 PM at the Hopeful Baptist Church cemetery in Hopeful, GA.
