Bonnie Jean Darling

Mrs. Bonnie Jean Darling, age 80, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017.

Mrs. Darling was preceded in death by her parents, George and Jerlene Jones. 

She is survived by her husband, Charles Darling; sons: Charles Grant Darling, George Andrew Darling, and Christopher Lynn Darling; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Darling has been a resident of the Auburn-Opelika area since 1969.  She taught at Dean Road Elementary School for 20 years, retiring in 1996.  Bonnie enjoyed playing tennis and bridge with her friends.   

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 19th, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery, Saturday at 2:00 p.m.  Reverend Charles Cummings will be officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
