Clarence W. Van Cure

Mr. Clarence W. Van Cure, age 84, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017.  He was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on December 9, 1933.  He came to Opelika in 1992 as sales manager for WKKR-FM and WTLM-AM radio.       

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion D. Van Cure; and brother, Donald Van Cure.

Mr. Van Cure is survived by his son, Douglas Van Cure of Austin, Texas; grandson, Christopher Van Cure of Missouri; and sister, Valeria Jean Berchem of Leesburg, Florida.  

Visitation will be held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home, Thursday, December 14, 2017 beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 4:00 p.m.  Reverend Earl Ballard will officiate.   In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to send donations to Trinity United Methodist Church, 800 2nd Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801 or to a charity of your choice.
