Dorothy Juanita Hansen

  Dorothy Juanita Hansen of Opelika, Alabama died Thursday, August 3, 2017.  The daughter of the late Edward McWhirter Sr. and Lula Mai McWhirter was born August 31, 1954 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Edward McWhirter Jr. and Ricky Lynn McWhirter.

 Ms. Hansen is survived by her son Timothy Gouker (Trisha) of Opelika, Alabama and daughter, Jessica Rivera (Dustin” of Ellerslie, Georgia. She leaves seven grandchildren: Jason, Alexis, Victoria, Austin, Kaleigh, Brenda, and Jackson. She leaves two brothers: Tom McWhirter of Fairbanks, Alaska and David McWhirter of Nashville, Tennessee. Ms. Hansen will be cremated at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. A celebration of life for family and friends to be announced.
