Richard Andrew Marsee

 Richard Andrew Marsee, 59, passed away at Bethany House on July 2, 2017 after a courageous fight with cancer. He had lived in Auburn for 33 years having been born in Hollywood, FL. He attended Hollywood Hills High School, where he was on the golf team, Broward Community College and Rice Aviation Institute where he earned his certification as an Aircraft and Helicopter Mechanic. He worked at the airfield in La Grange, Ga for several years. Later he became an owner operator of JNR Transportation and traveled the country, something that he dearly loved doing. In more recent years, he worked closely with truckers as a Driver Manager with Swift Transportation, where he was a favorite with the drivers and his coworkers alike.

In 1987 he married Nancy Hartzog Dickinson who survives him along with his sons, Ryan Marsee and Jeremy Dickinson. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara F. Marsee of Auburn, Additional surviving relatives include his brothers in law, Dan Hartzog (Sherri) of Austin, MN and Malcolm Hartzog of Auburn AL, aunt, Betty Sue Veal, cousin Pam Veal Kuester (Ed) both of Tallahassee, cousin, Peggy Veal Taylor of Auburn along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The service to celebrate his life will be held at Auburn United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary. Visitation will follow at the church in Hamill Court.
