Ann (Griffin) Neigbors

Mrs. Ann Griffin Neighbors of Auburn, Alabama, passed away on August 16, 2018 at the age of 66.  

Ann was born on September 27, 1951 in Pulaski, Tennessee. She graduated from Auburn University in 1973 with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. While attending Auburn she met her husband, Murray Neighbors, and the two married in 1973. She worked as a Buyer at the Corporate Headquarters of JC Penney in Plano, Texas for 11 years before retiring in 1999.  After retiring and moving back to Auburn, she volunteered at Mercy Medical Clinic, served on the Board of Governors of the Gamma Phi Chapter of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, and was active in Campus Club.  She was a member of Auburn United Methodist Church.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents, William C. Griffin and Dorothy S. Griffin.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, W. Murray Neighbors; son, W. Brad Neighbors, and his wife, Heather; 3 grandsons, Parker, Graham and Trey Neighbors and numerous cousins.

 A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at The Auburn University Club at 1650 Yarbrough Farms Blvd., Auburn, Alabama 36830.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
