Billy Autt Hall died peacefully at home December 20, 2018 after bravely battling the effect of Parkinson’s disease for many years. His family and friends had celebrated his amazing 89 years with him before he drifted into a peaceful sleep with his Lord. He was born February 19, 1929 in Phenix City, to Goldie Howard and Andrew Autt Hall. He was grandson to Beachie Parr, known as Ma Beachie, who always knew he was special as he became a high school football star and later attended Auburn University.
He founded Premium Beverage in 1967, beginning with a Schlitz Beer franchise in Russell County, that had only one truck and three employees. He grew this into a flagship MillerCoors distributorship covering five counties and supporting over 65 families.
He loved his business and constantly strived to expand and improve it. He loved people. He loved to laugh and he loved to play golf. He loved ice cream and chocolate, but most of all he loved his family.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 39 years, Martha Courson Hall; sons: Clay Hall (Gail) of Auburn, and Billy Hall, Jr. (Misty) of Opelika; daughter, Fran Loftin of Smiths Station; grandson, George Hall of Auburn; granddaughters: Ila Shea Rollo of Smiths Station, Mary Margaret Galarza of Phenix City, Billie Jean Price (Ted) of Birmingham, and Sara Elizabeth Loftin of Smiths Station; great grandchildren: Jeffrey Rollo (Ann Marie), Samantha Wheeler (Jamie), Anna Galarza, and Bella Galarza; great great grandchildren, Basset Price and Sara Kate Smith.
A memorial service will be 4:00pm CST Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Visitation will follow the service at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, prayers are asked for those suffering with Parkinson’s disease and their loved ones who are robbed of so much.
