Brenda J. Thomaston Maloy

Mrs. Brenda J. Thomaston Maloy, age 77, of Marietta, GA passed away Friday, August 4, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm (Central Time) Monday, August 7th at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home and Crematory in Opelika, AL. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the ceremony at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Garden Hill Cemetery in Opelika.

A native of Opelika, AL, Mrs. Maloy had lived in Marietta, GA for over 50 years. She was a member of Hollydale Baptist Church. She was also a devoted wife of 55 years, a loving mother and loyal friend to many, and enjoyed cooking and canning vegetables that she and her husband grew in their garden.

Mrs. Maloy was preceded in death by her husband, Dan “Rudy” Maloy, and parents, Hugh “Red” and Bertha Thomaston.

Mrs. Maloy is survived by her daughters: Jacqulyn (Alan) Stacy of Charlotte, NC, Pamela Maloy of Marietta, GA; brother, Jackie Thomaston, Opelika, AL; grandchildren: Amanda (Steve) Straitiff, Ashley Stacy, Natalie Stacy, and Curtis Stacy; great grandchild Max Straitiff, along with several nieces and nephews.
