Colie Martin Vincent

Ms. Vincent was born in Franklin, Georgia on June 16, 1923, and passed away at her home on December 19, 2018. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel and Pearl Hemmings, and her son Richard Donald Martin. She was the last surviving child of thirteen children born to Mr. and Mrs. Hemmings. They are surely having a smashing family reunion! 

She is survived by her three sons, Larry Martin, Robert Martin (Wanda), James Edward Martin, one daughter Mary Martin Jackson (Earl), a granddaughter which she was a mother to, Jennifer Martin Taylor (Toby). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and many special friends and family. 

Ms. Vincent was a beautiful soul. She was a selfless person who loved her family deeply and unconditionally. She always put her needs aside from the needs of others. She was a true pillar of strength, and definitely one of a kind. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, maw maw, sister, and an all-around amazing woman. She will forever be missed by those that had the privilege of knowing her. Her “baby”, Kenan, will miss her greatly as well. 

Ms. Vincent’s family would like to send a special thank you to the staff and nurses at Hospice Compassus. 

The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours before the service beginning at 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Graveside to immediately follow at Society Hill Cemetery for those interested in attending.
