Donald Merrill Langston

Mr. Donald Merrill Langston, age 73, of Salem, Alabama, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Bethany House surrounded by his family and friends.

A visitation and memorial service will be held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home in Opelika on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.  The visitation will be from 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. with the memorial service to follow at 2:30 p.m.  The funeral will be Thursday, October 4, 2017 in his hometown of Crossville, AL at Crosssville  Memorial Chapel at 4:00 p.m. with visitation proceeding from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.   He will be laid to rest at Crossville Methodist Church Cemetery following the funeral.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Herman and Ola Langston; a brother, Guy Langston; and a sister, Freida Hawkins of Crossville, AL.

He is survived by two sisters, Pauline Sizemore of St. Louis, MO and Donna Fay Todd of Alder Springs, AL.  A host of nieces and nephews and adopted family members.
