G. H. Hall

Memorial service for G.H. Hall, 90, of Auburn, is Sunday, August 5, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Mike King is officiating. Mr. G.H. Hall, who died on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Bethany House, was born May 26, 1928, in Oneonta, AL.

G.H. Hall received the Purple Heart, and Silver Star for injuries received in the Korean War on September 25, 1951. He was a member of Gideons, Soil Conservation Service, and First Baptist Church of Opelika. He graduated from Auburn University in 1950 with a degree in Civil Engineering; ordained as a deacon in 1960 and retired after thirty-three years of Federal Service with Soil Conversation Service.

He is survived by his wife, of sixty-seven years and eleven months, Jean Hall, of Auburn; daughter, Terre Currey (Jeff); son, Gladston Hall (Bobbi); grandchildren: Chase Hall (Ashley), Charlie Mathes (Sherry), Shane Mathes (Tracey).
