Jeanette Brubaker

Mrs. Jeannette Abrams Brubaker went home to be with her Lord on January 18, 2018. She was born October 11, 1924 to James Roy Abrams and Carrie Estelle James Abrams.

Mrs. Brubaker is survived by three children: Sandra (Erick) Gaither of Cuba, AL, Susan Crawford of LaGrange, GA and Sonny (Joan) Moreman of Auburn, AL; grandchildren: Jan (Woody) Conger, Ben (Laurie Ann) Crawford, Gavin (Kitty) Crawford, Hank (Susan) Moreman, Brad (Gina) Moreman, Sarah Moreman, and Josie (Luke) Stamps; great-grandchildren: Benjamin (Jackie) Blanton, Russell (Camara) Gaither, Caroline, Bo, Wade and Ann Thomas Crawford; Cole, Mallie and James Crawford; Hunter, Lily and Peter Moreman; Addie, Lucy and Jacob Moreman; Jack, Claire, Henry, George and Charles Stamps; great-great-grandchildren: Zuri Gaither and baby girl Blanton, due in June; sister-in-law, Mae Abrams; and nieces: Pricilla, Brenda, Janet and Nancy. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Trey Gaither.

Jeanette was a hairdresser for 63 years and loved her profession. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Opelika, especially enjoying her Sunday school class. She was generous and loving, and shared her pound cakes with many in the community. Her family will miss her laughter, joy of life, and encouragement, greatly.

A visitation for Mrs. Brubaker will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., a funeral service is to follow, starting at 2:00 p.m., both services will be held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Reverend Al Jackson and Reverend Mike King will be officiating.
