Mrs. Larraine Long, age 77, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018. She was born in New York, New York on September 24, 1940.

Mrs. Long was a lifelong resident of Opelika and was a graduate of Clift High School. She was retired as a secretary with the United States Department of Agriculture with thirty years’ service. Larraine was a kind and fun loving person.

Mrs. Long is survived by her daughter, Lisa Long of Opelika; son, Jeffrey Long of Oakland, California; brother, Richard Jimenez; and grandson, Lance Burdell of Opelika.  

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation service will be prior to the service at 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Burial service will follow the services at Rosemere Cemetery in Opelika, AL.
