Dorothy (Dotti) was born on a rural farm in Greenville, Alabama to Bessie Salyer and Merton Alexander Till. She married Con Leo Keeney in 1949 and resided in Montgomery before relocating to Auburn, in 1963.
She was a lifelong member of St Michaels Catholic Church. Dotti was a devoted mother of three children. She was an avid reader who loved all books and shared them with others.
Her fondest memories were at her cottage on Lake Martin spending relaxing time with family and closest friends. She dubbed it as “God’s Country” and her favorite place on earth. Dotti saw God’s inspiring touches in nature and the wildlife. She enjoyed a beautiful sunrise and a majestic sunset.
As an Auburn resident of 56 years, Dotti was an avid Auburn Tiger and Atlanta Braves fan. She often ended conversations with a big War Eagle!
She struggled with dementia in recent years and passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones.
She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Con Leo Keeney.
She is survived by three children: Domitia (Wayne) Kelley, Brian (Patricia) Keeney, Salyer (Amy) Keeney; four grandchildren: Michael (Christy), Kasey, Kourtney, Katelyn; great-grandchild: Connor; two-step grandchildren: Caleb and William; two sisters: Polly Herring and Grace Wasden.
