Mrs. Jean Lancaster Obituary

Jean C. Lancaster, 87, of Auburn, Alabama passed away Friday, April 5, 2019. A graveside service for Mrs. Lancaster will be held in Garden Hills Cemetery in Opelika, Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lancaster was proceeded in death by her husband of 67 years, Mayo Lancaster, and her parents, J.D. and Dessie Cook.

She is survived by her children, Diane Thompson of Opelika, AL, Deb (Joe) Armstrong of Auburn, AL, Donna (Louis) Reeder of Auburn, AL; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jeanette Davidson of Auburn, AL, Joyce (Willard) Heritage of McShan,AL, Bettye Cook of Auburn, AL.

Jean was a loving wife and mother. She was actively involved in EAMC Auxiliary and also enjoyed sewing and gardening.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that donations be made to Central Baptist Church 1611 2nd Avenue, Opelika, AL 36801.
