Nancy Hartzog Marsee

Nancy Hartzog Marsee passed away on October 13, 2017. She was a lifelong Auburn resident and attended Auburn City Schools graduating from Auburn High. She spent more than 25 years with the Chemistry Department at Auburn University as an Administrative Assistant. She also worked at Sewell Hall and enjoyed visiting with all the Auburn athletes and coaches.

In 1987 she married Richard Marsee and together they became a family that included her son Jeremy Dickinson. In 2003, they expanded their family to include Ryan, whom they adopted from Bulgaria.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Marsee who died in July of this year and by her father and mother, Amos and Irene Hartzog. She is survived by her sons, Jeremy Dickinson and Ryan Marsee. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, Dan Hartzog (Sherri) of Austin, MN and Malcolm Hartzog of Auburn, AL;  as well as her mother-in-law, Barbara Marsee of Auburn, AL; and also by her nephews, Skylar Hartzog and Kenny Hartzog (Lauren); and nieces, Savannah Hartzog and Tiffani Hastings (Alex) along with several first cousins.

The service to celebrate her life  will be held at Auburn United Methodist Church in the Founders Chapel on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Visitation to follow in the parlor adjacent to the Chapel.
