Robert Lee McClure

A Service of Remembrance for Robert Lee McClure of Opelika, AL will be Sunday, October 15th at 3:00 CST at Auburn United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be 1-3:00 CST. The Reverends, Reid Crotty and Cory Smith are officiating. 

Robert, who passed on October 11, at Bethany House, was born October 21, 1951, in Langdale, AL. He was a 1969 graduate of Valley High School and a 1975 graduate of Auburn University. Robert was a member of the National Guard. He had many proud career accomplishments during his 40+ years in the Human Resource field. He was a loving husband, father and proud grandfather. Robert enjoyed spending time woodworking and traveling with family and friends.

He is survived by wife of 45 years, V. Ellen Wood McClure; his daughters, Mandy McClure Wideman (Brad) and Allison McClure; grandchildren, Abigail, Lauren and Rob Wideman; siblings, Rhonda McClure Gibson (Tony) and Randy McClure (Stacey). He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby & Daisy McClure.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Victor Harbor Scholarship Fund at Bluff Park United Methodist Church, 733 Valley Street, Hoover, AL 35226.
