Shelby Jean Jordan

Mrs. Shelby Jean Jordan was born on September 12, 1938 in Repton, Alabama. She passed away February 20, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center.

Mrs. Shelby Jean Jordan was a member of the Goldstar Wives and as well, of Auburn United Methodist Church. She was sweet and caring; the truest definition of a dedicated homemaker. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was active in their lives. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Jordan is preceded in death by her husband, SFC Billy F. Jordan; her daughter, Sherry L. Jordan; and her siblings: Cecil Hartin, Laurie Salter, Vivian Failes, Faye Stokes, James Hartin and Wilber Hartin. She is survived by her son, Kevin (Angel) Jordan; grandchildren: Rowdey Jordan, Mackenzie Lynn Jordan, Jayden May Jorden, Addison Angel Jordan and Michael Hamilton Jordan; sister: Patricia Watson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service for Mrs. Shelby Jean Jordan will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. A visitation will be held the evening prior to the service, Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Interment will be at Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia Friday, February 23, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. CST. Reverend Charles Cummings and Reverend Terry Hartin will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Auburn United Methodist Church.
