Funeral services for William (Bill) Bohler, 82, of Auburn, AL will be at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home in Opelika with internment in Garden Hills Cemetery.
Bill was born October 29, 1935 in Lanett, AL. He passed away November 23, 2017, surrounded by his loved ones.
He is survived by his wonderful, beloved Wife, Mary, three daughters, Deborah Bohler Whitley (Mike) of Auburn, Jennifer Bohler and Patricia Bohler Macon of Nashville, TN, five grandchildren; Jordan Whitley (Torrey), Hunter Whitley, Tyson Macon, Rayce Burton and Rowdy Burton, one great-grandson, William Kainoa Hall, and a sister, Edith Carmichael Stiver (Frank) of Mitchell, NE and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Parents, William Owen Bohler, Sr. and Ardeth Kitchens Bohler, and a brother, Ronald Lanier Bohler.
He is also survived by several very close friends, whose friendship dates back more than seventy years.
Bill was a generous man who loved his family dearly, always inspiring others by his desire to never stop learning. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran, and he retired from Ampex Corporation in 1992 after thirty-two years of service. He then worked for the City of Opelika Light and Power Dept. and retired in 1996.
He graduated from The School of Business at Auburn University in 1963.
Bill was an active member of Purpose Baptist Church in Opelika.
Visitation will be at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. with services to follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Services will be conducted by Pastor Tom Grantham and Pastor Jeremy Deaton.
Internment services will be conducted at the conclusion of the funeral, followed by a private family graveside.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Purpose Baptist Church General Fund or to your favorite charity will be appreciated.
