William "Zachary" Gilbert

William “Zachary” Gilbert, 32, of Auburn, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his home. Zachary graduated with Honors in Plastic Injection Molding, and he was, employed with Baxter Pharmaceuticals.

Zachary loved his dogs Boone and Bo, the outdoors, the Atlanta Hawks and Falcons, NC Tar Heels basketball, and Auburn football.  He was the eldest of his siblings and very devoted to his family.  Zachary had a kind, gentle, generous soul sharing empathy and compassion with people and animals alike.  Zachary will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Zachary is survived by his mother Susan Allen (Brad), father Mark Gilbert; beloved siblings Justin Gilbert (Fatima), Brandon Allen (Ashley), Bailey Allen (Ryan), Liam Gilbert, Patrick Collins and Katie Carter; grandparents William and May Compton; and Uncles Scott (Valerie), Mike (Beth); Aunts Theresa (Michael) and Brenna (David); cousins Chase, Matthew, Jessica, Michaela, Hannah and Eliza; and special family Uncle Darren, Lil Darren, and Uncle Bobby.
