Cameron Mulvaney Obituary

Cameron Douglas Wesley Mulvaney, age 32, of Beauregard, AL passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

He was born March 1, 1989, in Opelika, AL, a son of Don and Janet (Stanke) Mulvaney. He was preceded in death by grandparents Doyle and Stella (Ritter) Mulvaney of Edinburg, IL and Doug and Shirley (Smith) Stanke of Warrensburg, MO.

Cameron is survived by his parents Don and Janet Mulvaney; his sister Katlin Ilene (Mulvaney) and husband John Tatarchuk of Chandler, AZ; brother Chandler Reid Mulvaney of Centennial, CO; soul mate Lauren Long of Atlanta, GA; uncle Gary Stanke  (Claudia Stanke) of Tampa Bay, FL; uncle Merle Mulvaney of Hobart, SC; uncle Verle Mulvaney of Kinmundy, IL; aunt Joyce Ayers (Everett Ayers), of  New Minden, IL and aunt Judy Prasun (Terry Prasun) of Stonington, IL.

Growing up he participated in the maintenance of family farms located in Beauregard, AL and Warrensburg, MO where he learned many life skills.  He graduated from New Life Christian Academy and attended Auburn University. He became employed with Health Information Design, of Auburn and thereafter, transitioned to his role as an IT Support Specialist with Chicken Salad Brand, Atlanta, GA.

Cameron grew up under the umbrella of Providence Baptist Church where he developed a foundation for his strong Christian faith. During his youth he was heavily involved in Alabama 4-H, Boys Scouts of America, Alabama Junior Hereford Association, youth sports and many organizations, even serving as an Upward Soccer coach at PBC. An avid outdoorsman, he was an avid forestry and wildlife competitor, an amazing artist, and was especially proud to have achieved the status of Eagle Scout.

Cameron loved his family time and his canine friend Skye.  Among those close to him, he was known as ‘the talented expert griller’ always testing hotter spices and new ways to cook meat or invent food innovations. Cameron lived a full meaningful life filled with a love for simplicity. Those around him describe him as a godly man, and impactful through his expression of the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). His fellow employees admired his calmness in the midst of a crisis, expressing his strength as a peacemaker by bringing others togethers to resolve problems. Everyone loved Cameron for his wittiness and ways to bring humor to those around him. Cameron looked forward to time spent with his beloved Lauren, attending church or trips to be with the Mulvaney and Long families.
