A celebration of life for Carol Bramlett will be held Thursday, May 27th, 2021 at 11:00am at Auburn United Methodist Church with a Visitation in the Sanctuary at 10:00am. Graveside service immediately following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carol Jean Bramlett, age 88, passed away on May 18, 2021 in Auburn, Alabama. Carol was born in Maysville, Kentucky on April 26, 1933, the oldest child of the late Everett P. Hilton and Fay Lester.
After graduating from high school, Carol graduated from Murray State College in Kentucky. She spent many years raising her family and later received her master’s degree at Auburn University. Carol then taught music at Auburn City Schools from the mid-1980s to mid-1990s. Carol absolutely loved music and sang in the choir at Auburn United Methodist Church for many years. She was known for her beautiful piano playing, lovely singing voice, and her outgoing, spitfire personality.
Carol was the loving and assertive older sister to (late) David Hilton, Mary Williams, Ruth Giles, and Joan Littlepage, a loving wife of 62 years to (late) Gene Bramlett, a doting mother to (late) Rebecca Carter and Howard Bramlett, a sweet grandmother to Shelley, Anna and Colton Carter and (late) Benjamin, Lerin, Nick and Holly Bramlett, a loving great-grandmother to Adrian, Arlette and Oliver Cadenas and Felix Rowan Bragg and Maeriana Bramlett, an energetic music teacher to so many children, and a very dear friend to all she met.
