Obituary
Cassandra Renee Sheppard, of Opelika, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at UAB. Cassandra was a native of Opelika and she spent her whole life here. Many might know her as an associate from Walmart where she worked for over 16 years. She was also a member of the Purpose Baptist Church.
Cassandra was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Huey Sheppard. She is survived by her father, Roy T. Sheppard of Opelika; son, Jacob Sheppard (Morgan) of Opelika; brother, James Sheppard of Opelika; sister, Stephanie Nicole Sheppard of Opelika; a granddaughter, Ann Marie Sheppard; nieces and nephew: Tristan Hart, Katelyn Hart, Makayla Sheppard, Addison Sheppard, Jordan Sheppard.
Funeral services for Cassandra will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 26, 2023 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home in the chapel. The family will receive visitors for two hours prior to the service, starting at 9:00 AM CST. Cassandra will then be laid to rest in Garden Hills Cemetery.
