Obituary

On Feb 26, 2023, Cheryl Kircher Infantino (Kalata) gained her wings to be amongst the angels. She was an incredible daughter, sister, mother, aunt and wife.

Cheri was born in Pensacola, Fl, April 11, 1963. Her father was in the Navy and she lived many places before she attended high school in Milton, FL. She then attended college at the University of West Florida, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science and eventually made her home in Shalimar, FL. In 1995, she had a beautiful daughter, Kristen, who was her pride and joy. In 2001 she moved to Honeoye Falls, NY, a small community where she established roots and was well known and deeply loved. She had a special gift to turn friends into family. In 2019, she married the love of her life Jerry Infantino. In June 2020, she and Jerry moved to Auburn, AL. This was a dream for her and she loved every minute.

Cheri was preceded in death by her loving father, George Kalata and sister Judy (Alton) Flowers. Cheri is survived by her husband, Jerry Infantino, her daughter Kristen Kircher, step son Alex (Meghann) Infantino and grandson Easton, her mom Laura Kalata, her sister Stacie (Mike) Specht and brother Cory (Christy) Baker, her nephews Michael and Tyler Specht, and Jackson Flowers, her nieces Kayla (Tripp) Powers and Carleigh Baker, countless friends and her beloved “side kick” dog, Bianca.

If you knew Cheri, you can only smile.

She made the world laugh with her “funny to her” jokes. She found great joy in sports, country music and spending time with her best friends. She became an avid golfer, taking many “golfcations” with her husband. She was happiest sitting on a beach with her toes in the sand, hand-in-hand with her loved ones. She was generous, inclusive, lighthearted and kind. She loved with all her heart and we will forever know we were loved by her. Our hearts are broken, but she is healed.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of the life of Cheri, presided by Father Plessala, will be at St. Michael the Archangel Church, located at 1100 N. College Street, Auburn, AL 36830, Tuesday March 7, 2023, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Cheri’s name to the American Liver Foundation by going to www.liverfoundation.org
