Emily H. Lawson

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend Emily Hatcher Lawson, 77, of Auburn, AL, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2023, surrounded by family.  Emily is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Lawson; son, Mike Lawson (Jennifer); son, Reggie Lawson (Dani); daughter, Becca Lawson (Willa); granddaughter, Samantha Farmer (Jeremiah); grandson, Britton Lawson; granddaughter, Olivia Lawson; grandson, Brandon Moseley; great-granddaughter, Leighton Farmer; brother, Marvin Hatcher (Lisa). She is preceded in death by her parents, Reginald “Bubba” and Thelma Hatcher.  Emily grew up in Geneva, AL and she attended Auburn University where she was a member of the Sigma Lambda chapter of Kappa Delta.  Emily and John met while attending Auburn and making friendships that have lasted a lifetime.  Emily had a passion for all things Auburn and never met a stranger.

A celebration of life will be held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home on September 14, 2023, at 3:00pm CST. Friends and family are welcome to visit and share remembrances of our lost loved one.
