Gary Wayne Williams, Sr.

Mr. Gary Wayne Williams, Sr., of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Monarch Estates Retirement Community in Auburn. He was born on April 2, 1941 in Kannapolis, NC.

Mr. William is survived by his children: Gary Williams, Jr. of Santa Monica, CA, Ron (Brooke) Williams of Auburn, AL, and Michelle (James) Maloy of Valley, AL; grandson Reid Williams of Auburn, AL. He also leaves behind a sister Deana (Jim) Josephson of Estero, FL: half-brother, Charles (Phyllis) Rhodes of Mooresville, NC.

Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Margaret Williams, and wife Connie Land Williams.

Mr. Williams was a sales representative for manufacturing companies for all of his career, retiring from Paragon Picture Gallery in 2008. He enjoyed riding and taking trips on his motorcycle.

Dad, ride your motorcycle in heaven, we will greatly miss you. You were an amazing father who loved your family, taught life lessons, and encouraged everyone to live life to the fullest. Dad, you always had a smile on your face while riding your motorcycle… keep smiling in heaven.

A special thanks to Ms. Barbara Whatley for caring for our father for the last four years. “Mr. G” loved you, and the family appreciates the excellent care you took of him as if he were your own father.

A private memorial service will be held in Ashville, NC in March.
