A memorial service for Glenn Ray Scott, 69, of Opelika, Alabama who passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 beginning at 11:00 AM CST at Marvyn Parkway Baptist Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM CST. Reverend David Floyd will be officiating.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents Helen Crutchfield Scott, and Lamar Glenray Scott; brother, Walter Scott, and sisters: Diane Sutcliffe, and Beverley Evans.
Glenn is survived his wife Jackie Bledsoe Scott; son Clay Scott (Gina); brother Steve Scott (Ginny), and grandchild Sofia; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Glenn joined the Navy out of high school where he was a teletype operator. Later he became a over the road truck driver. For over forty years he provided a good life for his family. He was well loved by his family, friends and church family, and was especially popular with children of all ages.
