James Leon Streetman, 94 of Hurtsboro, Alabama passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. CST at Hatchechubbe Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church at 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. The Rev. James Gilboy will officiate and a private interment will follow at the Hurstboro Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be his great nephews: Clint Streetman, Cam Streetman, Chris Warr, John Watson, David McCaghren, A.J. Segrest, and Jack Segrest.
Mr. Streetman was born to the late William Reuben and Annie Groce Streetman. He was man of many talents including playing multiple instruments, painting, ceramics, and card making. His favorite of all was working with numbers and audits. He was a graduate of Huntington College and retired from First Alabama Bank/Regions after a career as an auditor.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers William Edward “Eddie” Streetman, Earle Streetman, and his niece Nita S. Warr.
He is survived by three nieces and one nephew, Cliff and Nancy Streetman, Donna and John Watson, Wanda and Doug McCaghren, and Linda and Billy Segrest. He had 11 great nieces and nephews, and 21 great great nieces and nephews. He was also blessed with numerous and faithful friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Hurtsboro Cemetery Fund, or the Hatchechubbee Baptist Church Missions.
