Jeanette C. Walker

 Ms. Jeanette C. Walker, of Opelika passed away November 14, 2021. Visitation will be at 12:30 pm, Friday, November 19, 2021. The service will be at 2:00 pm at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home Chapel.  

 Jeanette was a lifelong resident of Opelika. In 1956 she married William F. “Billy” Walker Sr. Also, in 1956 she joined the First United Methodist Church and was a member of the Strickland Class. At the age of fifteen, while in high school, she went to work for Dr. O.H. Tatum Sr., Dr. Crawford Tatum Sr., and Dr. Hilt Tatum. Many years later she went to work for Diversified Products and worked in the Sales and Order Department for 23 years. Jeanette enjoyed visiting with her family and friends and hosted wonderful Holiday gatherings. Jeanette will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

 Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Billy Walker, parents Delmas Lee Courtoy Sr. and Francis Huling-Courtoy, brothers Huling Courtoy, Delmas Lee Courtoy Jr., nephew Kevin Courtoy. Survivors include sons William (Cindy) F. Walker Jr. of Prattville, Joel C. Walker of Opelika, Russell S. Walker of Woodstock, GA, grandchildren Sydney Walker of Birmingham, Matthew Walker of Prattville, Hannah Walker of Lynn Haven, FL, sister in-law Pat Courtoy of Pittsburgh, PA, niece Renee Kutsch-Courtoy of Pittsburgh, PA.
