John Boyd, Sr. Obituary

John David Boyd, Sr., 81, of Opelika, Alabama passed away May 1, 2024 at his home.

John was born December 10, 1942 in South Carolina to parents, Willie Benjamin and Edna Boyd. He married the love of his life, Mrs. Tommie Jean Boyd, February 23, 1970.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Tommie Jean Boyd; his three sons: John David Boyd, Jr., William Kevin Boyd, and Kenneth Dwayne Boyd all of Opelika, Alabama; and many more family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held for Mr. John David Boyd, Sr. Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. at Watoola Methodist Church. A visitation will be held an hour and a half prior to the service beginning at 3:30 p.m. Pastor Keith Badowski is to officiate the service.

Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home is directing.
