Joyce Ford Givhan

Joyce Ford Givhan, 90, of Opelika, AL, formerly of Marietta, GA, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, July 23, 2022, surrounded by her family.  Joyce was born July 10, 1932, in Acworth, GA, to Henry Franklin and Ruth Robertson Ford.  She graduated from Acworth High School and the Georgia State College for Women. 

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her sisters, Audrey Ford Cannon and Eloise Ford Medford.  She is survived by her son Andy Givhan and his wife Marie, of Rydal, GA; son Chip Givhan and his wife Nan, of Nicholasville, KY; daughter Joy Bedsole and her husband Mike, of Opelika, AL; grandson Ryan Givhan and his wife Shannon; grandsons Quinn Givhan and Connor Givhan; granddaughter Bethany Bedsole; and great-grandsons Ryder Givhan and Samuel Givhan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Opelika, AL, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2022.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the sanctuary.
