Julia J. Baker

Julia J Baker, of Opelika, Alabama born February 9, 1943, died peacefully on January 6, 2021 at Bethany House.  Julia known as Judy lived in Opelika, retired from Ampex after 37 years.  She also worked at Springvilla Store and Sam’s before fully retiring.

She is predeceased by her parents, E.O. and Maudie Leigh Adcock and her late husband of 54 years, Robert Lee Baker of Opelika, AL.

Survivors include her children, Anita Baker Strang married to Carl J Strang of Winter Haven, FL and grandchildren Madelyn Ivy Horn and Robert Coleman Horn also of Winter Haven, FL.  Kristie Elizabeth Tucker married to John Anthony Tucker of West Point, GA, and grandchildren Meagan Elizabeth Oswald of Columbus, GA., and Chance Anthony Ford of Auburn, AL and great grandchild Victoria Elizabeth Catrett. Robert Rene Baker married to Joyce Baker of Notasulga, AL.  Judy is also survived by her beloved pet “Puppy”. 

Friends and Family are invited to attend graveside services at Garden Hill Cemetery Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM central time.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Bethany House, Auburn, Alabama.
