Mary Elizabeth Nix

Mary Elizabeth Nix passed away September 2, 2025 at 98 years young. She was born on January 13, 1927, in Opelika, Al, to Carl and Mandy Henderson.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Fred Nix, Sr. in 2016, they had been married for 72 years; son, Benjamin Fred Nix, Jr, brother, Mack Henderson, very special son-in-law, Larry Justice.

She leaves 2 daughters, Linda Justice and Sharon (Jack) Ogburn; grandchildren, Gene (Tabatha) Smith, Jack Ogburn lll, Robert Nix, Russell (Polly) Nix, Mandy Nix; great grandchildren McCall (Hagen) Ware and Dalton Smith; 1 great-great grandson Harlen Ware.

Services to be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, visitation at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home at 10 am with graveside services at 11am in Garden Hills Cemetery.
