Michael Aaron Murphy

Michael Aaron Murphy, 76 of Salem, Al passed away September 3rd 2025 after a brief illness. 

 He is preceded in death by his parents Edward Murphy Maybel Murphy; brothers Edward Murphy Jr, Steve Murphy. 

He is survived by his wife Donna Murphy; children: Angie Saylor (Phillip), Amy Starling (Michael), Allie Howard (Andy) Josh Nelson (Diana); grandchildren- CJ Murphy, Codi Sturkie, Colton Sturkie, Morgan Hammock, Dalton Starling, Phillip Saylor, Lane Starling, Hannah Doggett, Jonathan Howard, Jordan Saylor, Adam Saylor, Lauren Doggett, James Howard; 25 Great Grandchildren; Sister-in-law Mary Murphy; nieces- Kristie Chaffin, Kerri Woodall plus several great nieces and nephews. 

Mike Murphy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a sheet metal worker/ welder by trade. After retiring from his sheet metal trade, his passion became filming and producing his TV show Kids Hooked on The Outdoors. He found joy in spending time with family, hunting, fishing, and dirt track racing. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 6th at 12 pm at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11 am.
