Michelle Denise (Beauchene) Burt, 53, passed peacefully in St. Louis, MO. She was the 4th child of Eileen Marie and John Dennis Beauchene, born November 9th, 1970 in New Britain, Connecticut. She is being laid to rest next to family in Opelika, AL.
Michelle was a fun and loving woman who loved her family and made an impact on all the people she's ever worked with. She came to Opelika, AL as a toddler. She was raised in the Catholic faith and was a part of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Opelika. She graduated high school in 1988, married Steve Burt June 10th, 1989, supported her husband through the Gulf War, had a daughter 1993, and moved to St. Louis, MO in 1997. She worked her way up at Sears and made plenty of friends and played in the company Softball team. She later moved to work at Home Depot and supported several stores during her tenure, making even more friends and memories along the way. With Home Depot she participated with Habitat for Humanity in debris clean ups and rebuilding homes from Tornados and Flooding that destroyed towns and homes in Missouri.
She loved crafts, craft festivals, antiquing, reading, fishing, going to the beach, and loved wine and mojitos. She loved her husband, daughter, family, and friends and tried to find as much possible time to spend with them when she could.
She is survived by her husband, of 35yrs, Barry Steven Burt; siblings Marlene Highfill of Opelika, Kimberly (Kendall) Price of Auburn, AL; brother, David (Catherine) Beauchene of Jeffersonton, VA; her only child Storme (Nick) Dodd; her grandchild Aaminah Dodd; niece and nephews Jordan (Brian) McVay, Andrew Highfill, and Nathan Price; and several other extended family members.
