Mrs. Mary Carolyn Sosebee

Mrs. Mary Carolyn Sosebee, 81, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away July 6, 2019, at East Alabama Medical Center. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am, Friday, July 19, 2019, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverend Earl Ballard officiating.

Mrs. Sosebee was preceded in death by her husband Roy M. Sosebee, Sr.; husband: Robert J. Curtin; mother: Lucile V. Holland.

Mrs. Sosebee is survived by her children: Rebecca Holland Dasher (Larry), Melanie Hill, Roy M. Sosebee, Jr. (Julie); grandchildren: Valerie Floyd (Justin), Ashlea Thompson (Andy), Talitha Kay (Hogan), Adam Hill (Kristi), Roy M. Sosebee III (Kayla), Sara Sosebee; great-grandchildren: Thad Sosebee, Emmett Smith, Rosie Hill.

Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was very loving and touched people’s lives no matter where she went.

In her younger days she was a waitress and focused on customer service. After she retired, she became an East Alabama Medical Center Volunteer, where she received an award for 25 years of service.

She loved to travel to the mountains and ride the trains. She also enjoyed crafts, embroidery and sublimation printing.

She began her day with daily devotions and believed deeply in her faith. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
