It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Niria Judith Sutton, age 46, on March 23rd 2025. Niria departed this world peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, after a courageous battle against Lupus.
She was born on September 15, 1978 in Houston, Texas, Niria was a vibrant and compassionate soul who touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She was devoted to helping any kids in the community involved in sports with the beulah recreation association . Her kindness, generosity, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.
Niria was a loving "daughter, sister, aunt and friend". She cherished her family above all else and created countless treasured memories. She is survived by her parents, Christina Sutton and Robert Sutton; her siblings, Christina Fear, Jorge Villegas and his spouse Rhonda Villegas, Rick Kellogg his spouse Chris Kellogg, Steven Sutton and his spouse Joni Sutton, and Shanoya Sutton; her aunt's and uncle's Thersea Donelson, Darlene Kellogg, Terry Sutton and Faith; numerous nieces, nephews Ethan Sutton, Kennedy Villegas, Emery Sutton, Niria Senn and Sutton Senn; Cousin's Jessica Donelson, Jeremiah Locks and many more.. close family friends Christi Sutton, Letty Jacobs, Diane Martin, Ben and Kelly Green, Madison Mcdonald, Jonathon and Josh Tielking." She will be greeted by: Kade Senn, Gelacil Alveraz, Leonila Alveraz, Alex Bell, Abram Green and Seth Carmack .
She graduated from Beulah high school, class of 1998. She played softball all throughout her high school career where she was known as "The Top Gun" She was printed in the local paper numerous times with her outstanding performances, She then continued that career at CVCC on a scholarship.
Niria had no children of her own, Although she didn't let that stop her from enjoying the love she had of so many children throughout the community. One of her greatest joys in life was to babysit numerous children over the span of more than two decades, to help dozens of parents to be able to work and further their career or while continuing their education.
Niria was a devoted fan of the University of Alabama football and Softball team, a passion that burned brightly throughout her life. From the roar of the crowd at Stadium's to the nail-biting finishes watched from her living room, Niria lived and breathed Alabama football and Softball. She could recite stats, knew every fight song, and never missed a game.
Beyond football, Niria enjoyed taking trips to the beach. That was a true happy place for her. She will be remembered for the numerous poker games she hosted, family cookouts, and watching any Alabama sports games where lots of laughs and memories were shared with friends and family.Niria had a knack for bringing people together, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories.
Niria's memory will be forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service to celebrate Niria's life will be held on March 29, 2025 at 2:00 cst at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Niria's memory to Beulah Recreation Association.
