Opal Duffie

Mrs. Opal Duffie, 82, of LaFayette, died Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Compassus Bethany House in Auburn.
She is survived by her four children: Ret. MSgt. Donald (Donna) Duffie, LaFayette; Ronald (Lou) Duffie, LaFayette; Susan Duffie, Roanoke; Angie (Steve) Spates, LaFayette; twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Rachel Whatley; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Duffie was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Duffie; her grandson, Jamie Andrews; parents, Herbert and Louella Green; and her sisters, Odie Calhoun, Ollie Fincher, and Robie Sudduth.
Mrs. Duffie was a member of Pleasant Grove Congregational Christian Church.
Family requests that donations be made to Compassus Hospice (Roanoke) and Compassus Bethany House (Auburn) in memory of Mrs. Duffie.
