Rebecca (Sis), 92, of Auburn, AL slipped into her heavenly home peacefully surrounded by her family. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Slaton Crawford, Bonnie Johnson Crawford and son-in-law, Mays Jemison. She is survived by her husband, Evan Bennett Davis, of Auburn; daughters: Susan Stanford Jemison, of Montgomery, Charlotte Stanford Jackson (Walker), of Auburn; stepsons: Stuart Davis (Milissa), of Mobile, and Glenn Davis (Rene) of Mobile; grandchildren: Rebecca Jemison Rice (Will), Slaton Jemison, Garrett Jemison (Emily), Ben Jackson (Frances) and Bonnie Jackson Capps (Matthew), Ansley Davis, Alex Davis, Wesley Davis, Bradley Davis, Luke Davis Joseph Davis and great-grandchildren: Jemison Rice, H. T. Rice, Slaton Jemison, John Mays Jemison, Ford Jackson, Nellie Jackson, Mary Nell Capps and Charlotte Capps.
“Sis” grew-up in Dallas County, AL and attended Montevallo College. She was active in many organizations including DAR, UDC, Magnolia Garden Club and Altar Guild.
A memorial service for immediate family (due to COVID precaution) will be held Sunday, February 14, at the First United Methodist Church, Montgomery, AL. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Rebecca Davis may be made to the Auburn United Methodist Church, First United Methodist Church of Montgomery or Auburn Bethany House.
