Sarah Catherine Grimes Pasley

Sarah Catherine Grimes Pasley, lovingly known as Sally, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama.

Born in Enterprise, Alabama, Sally graduated from Enterprise High School in 1968 and earned a degree in Special Education from Auburn University. She dedicated many years to the Auburn City School System as a teacher and later coauthored educational books for individuals with special needs. In later years, she brought joy to many through The Veranda, her gift shop in downtown Auburn that she ran with her daughter.

She is survived by her daughters, Hayden (Howard) Weissinger and Anna (Rob) Keesee; her grandchildren, Hill and Payne Weissinger and Ellie and Haynes Keesee; her brother, Dr. Jim (Debbie) Grimes; her sister, Lucy (Cy) Grimes Butler; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sally was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ty Pasley; her sisters, Jean Grimes Bowline and Ann Grimes Thompson; and her parents, Dr. James Grimes and Eleanor Warren Grimes.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
