Shane Lynn Hollis, a good ole country boy, passed away on March 20, 2026 after a courageous health battle. He was born April 16, 1976 in Opelika, Alabama to Betty Sue Hollis and James Richard Hollis.
Shane lived a full, happy life. He loved his family more than anything in the world, but his favorite thing was being a PopPop to his grandchildren. Shane loved being outside, no matter what he was doing. He enjoyed watching the sunsets in the country off the back porch. You could find him with a beer in his hand, jamming to George & Hank, probably causing some sort of trouble. Shane was a loyal Auburn fan and never missed a game.
Shane was the definition of a hard-working man. He held many positions. Most recently, he was a maintenance supervisor at Challenge Manufacturing. He loved his job, in and out of work, and did it well. He was a handy man. He tried his best to fix any and everything.
Shane is preceded in death by his mama, Betty Sue Hollis; his grand-daughter, Keely Sue Lewis; and his best friend, Ronnie Decker.
He is survived by his daddy, James Hollis; his sister, Leann (Chris) Cox; his children, Tamara (Rickey) Floyd, Kenny (Kayla Mae) Hollis, Mechelle (Brad) Lewis, and Austin (Eva) Hollis; his grand-children Charlotte & Josie Floyd; Brently, Brystin, & Briley Lewis; his niece, Hayden Cox and nephew, Samuel Cox; his aunt, Patricia Kasulka; his fiancé, Heidi Finegan and family; forever friends, Ashley Calhoun & family; and many more friends & relatives.
