Tommie Jean (Grier) Boyd

Tommie Jean Boyd, 74, of Opelika, Alabama passed away January 10, 2025 at the Bethany House.

Tommie was born May 17, 1950 in the state of Georgia to parents, Thomas and Dewey Mae Grier. She married the love of her life, Mr. John David Boyd, Sr. on February 23, 1970.

Tommie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years.

She is survived by her three beloved sons: John David Boyd, Jr., William Kevin Boyd, and Kenneth Dwayne Boyd all of Opelika, Alabama; and many more family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Tommie Jean Boyd on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Watoola Methodist Church. A visitation will be held an hour and a half prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Pastor Keith Badowski is to officiate the service.
