Tony Ray Lankford

It is with great sadness that the family of Tony Ray Lankford announces his passing after many years of heart illness on Tuesday September 20, 2022 at the age of 62. Tony was the son of beloved deceased Thomas Aubrey Lankford and Willie Margie Lankford.

Tony will be lovingly remembered by his son Tony Ray Lankford Jr and daughter Sabrina Lankford and her three children, his brother Randall Lankford and sister Jennifer (Brian) Spraggins and respectfully his ex-wife of 20 years and her four daughters. Tony will be fondly missed by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as many dear friends.

Reverend James Williams is officiating. Interment will be in Garden Hills Cemetery.

I AM ALWAYS WITH YOU

When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with too many tears,
But be thankful we had so many good years.
I gave you my love, and you can only guess
How much you’ve given me in happiness.
I thank you for the love that you have shown,
but now it is time I travelled on alone.

that it is only for a while that we must part,
So treasure the memories within your heart.
