Vivian Maxine Weldon passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on February 24, 2025, in Auburn, Alabama. Born on July 20, 1938, in South Dakota, Vivian was a beloved mother, sibling, grandparent, and friend to many.
Vivian is survived by her two daughters, Deborah (Robert) Word and Patricia (Bobby) Preston; siblings, Mary Lou Palmer Kaiser Stallard, Frederick Thomas (Alyce) Bard, Verna (Randall) Hanson, David Erickson, Donnie (Archie) Hallan, and Carol (Wayne) Geyer; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, whom she adored tremendously. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, John and Irene Kaiser; her spouse, Ralph Weldon Sr.; her son, Ralph Weldon, Jr.; her daughter, Laura Jean “Jeanie” Rodgers. Vivian also mourned the loss of several siblings: Donald Palmer, Glen Palmer, Norma Hines, Beverly Seaworth, Lavern Brandt, Carol Bard, Linda Smith, and Dickie Erickson.
A memorial service to honor Vivian’s life will be held on March 1, 2025, at Jeffcoat- Trant Funeral Home in Opelika, Alabama. The service will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 11:00 AM.
Vivian’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
