William "Ed" Edward Clark

William Edward Clark born January 25,1943 in Talladega, Alabama and later moved to Opelika, Al. Ed passed away on January 19, 2023, at East Alabama Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Ed was a beloved member of Airview Baptist Church and an Alabama Fan.

He served our community as a fire fighter in Opelika and Auburn. In 1981 he joined East Alabama Medical Center and served both as a paramedic and apartment manager until his retirement in 2004. After he worked per dien until 2008.

Ed is survived by his loving wife Barbra of 58 years; 2 daughters: Angela Clark Reece and Dottie (Joe) Lewis; 4 grandsons: Kyle (Casey) Golden, Tyler (Samantha) Lewis, Chad Golden, Gabe (Courtney) Lewis; 3 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters and awaiting the arrival of the 4^th great grandson; brother Gerald “Wayne” Clark and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by both parents, Henry and Gladys Clark, and 4 brothers Harold, Herbert, Clarence, Huey, and 2 sisters, Billie and Joyce.

He will always be remembered, loved and cherished by all those who knew him.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm, Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home with Gary Walker and Larry Felkin officiating. Burial will follow in Waverly Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
